Ikon Gallery
From its beginnings in a small kiosk in Birmingham’s Bullring, Ikon’s reputation for innovation, internationalism and excellence has developed over 40 years. Now housed in the neo-gothic Oozells Street School, Ikon has an artistic programme consisting of four interdependent strands. 

The gallery features temporary exhibitions over two floors. A variety of media is represented, including sound, film, mixed media, photography, painting, sculpture and installation New details were announced recently about Ikon 2, the proposed new museum of contemporary art for Birmingham. Ikon 2 will form part of the suggested Curzon Square, a new museum quarter situated in the Eastside district of the city.
