They may not have been the main event but up-and-coming Black Country band EofE got the crowd rocking at Birmingham’s LG Arena.
The four-piece, formed by school friends from Dudley just a few months ago, went down a storm as they supported McBusted last night.
They launched into their 20-minute set with a mash-up of Nirvana’s Smells Like Teen Spirit and Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean. It was a high-energy performance with the crowd cheering along as singer Tom Harris, aged 17, guitarist Dan Bremner, 19, and bassist Luke Bradley, 18, bounded across the stage.
Although it is the band’s first tour in venues of this size they delivered a supremely confident performance and urged the crowd to get involved. The third song of the set was written by Dan and called Piece of You.
Tom urged the crowd to turn on the lights of their mobile phones and the arena was filled with the glow.
The set ended with the band’s single which is available for download and called Lust. Before leaving the stage, Tom shouted: “We are EofE and we’re from Dudley!”
