Rapper Tinie Tempah helped V Festival come of age and made the event's 21st birthday a party night to remember.
It was Tinie's fifth year at the event and together with Example, he has become an act you really can't miss whatever clashes with it.
This was evident in the size of the capacity crowd he pulled to the MTV Stage on Sunday night. There was standing and jumping room only.
He teased us for a while, urging us to sing louder and to jump higher than the Chelmsford fans had the night before. But at the end of the set, he assured us as we kind of knew he would, that we had been the best ..I bet he says that to all the crowds.
Just about everyone sang out each and everyone of the lyrics to hit after hit, including Pass Out and Miami 2 Ibiza.
The written In The Stars singer said his new song Youth had been written for all the young visitors to V Festival who had grown with it over the years.
"I hope you feel that I have been a part of your youth," he told the crowd sincerely.
It was raining hard and it was windy and cold, so the multicoloured plastic ponchos were out in force.
But Tinie had everyone smiling, jumping, running backwards and forwards and bending their knees as low as they could go to the ground like a male dance version of a Jane Fonda workout video.
He kept us all happy, pumped up and ready to party under the lasers, fireworks and mist.
He thanked V and the crowd and said he'd be back next year - we wouldn't have it any other way, V wouldn't be V without him now. Thanks for the party Tinie.
