George Clinton, Parliament Funkadelik and De La Soul will hit the stage in Moseley Park as the Mostly Jazz, Funk and Soul Festival kicks off this weekend.

The festival features some of the leading artists in the respective genres of jazz, funk and soul in the scenic locations of Moseley Park, an 11 acre woodland glade in the heart of Birmingham.

Tickets start from £19 with the festival running Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11.00am until 10.30pm.

In conjunction with Oswestry Food Festival and CAMRA, Oswestry Station is set to host the Cambrian Beer Festival this weekend.

This celebrates the tenth anniversary of the festival and features a buffet alongside a wide range of local beers, ales, ciders, stouts and more in this historic station building.

This is a free event and runs from 10.00am until 4.00pm

TV favourite Heartbeat has been transformed into a spectacular live performance that is appearing at Wolverhampton's Grand Theatre from July 6 to July 9.

Fans can look forward to appearances from original actors from the TV production, a revolving set which moves effectively between the Aidensfield Arms and the rolling Yorkshire moors and an all-round fun-filled two hours of entertainment.

Cae Glas Park will be home to Reggae in the Park in conjunction with Oswestry Food Festival this weekend.

A market town will serve up a double helping of fun this weekend with street food and reggae music.

Organised by Neil Phillips, of Eclectic, the music will feature a diverse range of reggae styles and derivatives, from dance hall to dub and ska. 

DJs gracing the decks will include vinyl specialists The Vinylistas.

The Robin are set to host a charity event in memory of the late Chelsea Jackson, who sadly passed away early this year at the age of 20 of a rare blood disease called HLH.

The line up for the event features the likes of Cow on the Horizon, Katie Ann Tej, Jordan and That Guy, Jodie Louza, Lightning Thieves, Almost Easy, Absent Identity and the Bad Flowers.
