The real Mrs Brown’s Boys will hit the stage at the NEC’s Genting Arena next year with tickets on sale from September 30.
The award-winning comedy is heading for four shows in three days in Birmingham.
Writer and star Brendan O’Carroll is taking the hit show on its first full UK arena tour on the back of a sell-out tour of Australia and New Zealand.
The show’s plotline follows Agnes Brown who will be planning Granddad’s funeral. The only problem is granddad is not dead. So what could possibly go wrong.
The TV sitcom version was first broadcast in Ireland and then days later by the BBC in February, 2011 and has had three series. The film Mrs. Brown’s Boys D’Movie was released in 2014.
Mrs Brown’s Boys was also recently voted as the Best British Sitcom of the 21st century by the Radio Times.
The show’s accolades include three National Television Awards.
The Genting Arena dates are Thursday, April 6, Friday, April 7 and Saturday April 8, including a matinee
Mrs. Brown’s Boys follows the life and antics of Agnes Brown, a Dublin matriarch who interferes in the lives of her friends and family members.
Their 2017 tour follows a very busy 12 months for the team. After a sell-out tour of Australia and New Zealand and following the ‘Live’ Episode of Mrs Brown’s Boys as a special for BBC’s 60 Years of Comedy with an Audience of more than 11 million people in July.
