Popworld Wolverhampton has the right ingredients for a good cocktail

A new nightclub in Wolverhampton was packed out when it officially opened on Friday night.

Formerly known as Babylon, the nightclub on North Street had a whole host of entertainment for clubbers.

There were stiltwalkers, firebreathers, guys in morph suits with shots and dancers.

To open the venue was 90s boyband 5ive. Three of the band came to meet and greet fan. They had just performed over the road at the Civic Hall that night – see the review here  http://nativemonster.com/music/bands-and-gigs/gig-reviews/gallery-and-review-5ive-wolverhampton-civic-hall

However, not all fans were happy as not everyone who queued got to meet the boys.

They were only there for an hour and the queue trailed around the building outside.

Popworld apologised on their Facebook page saying they will learn from what happened and improve their next meet and greet of Brian McFadden on Friday December 13.

The choice of drinks at the venue were vast, and despite their eight new members of staff, getting served proved a little slow. But give them a break, they have only just started.

Apart from the queue for drinks the music was spot on, mixing a few classics such a Tina Turner, Bewitched, the Fresh Price of Bel Air rap with current pop like One Direction, Avicii and Little Mix.

The make-over has definitely made the venue look a lot better. The lick of paint was very much needed along with the new locks on toilet doors, new stools, and the dance floor is bigger now thanks to the DJ booth positioned in the corner. Even the bar has been improved with a glistening mirrored wall.

If you like your pop music and like trying new cocktails I’d give it a go.
