Fans of country and western music have been invited to don their cowboy boots and head over to Haden Hill Park for a hoe-down.
Staff at Haden Hill Park and House, in Barrs Road, are organising the free Haden Hoe Down on Sunday from noon until 4pm.
Children’s entertainment and a performance by New Age Creativity Dance Troupe are also lined up for an afternoon of fun. The tearoom at Haden Hill House will be open for light refreshments, courtesy of the Friends of Haden Hill Estate.
Councillor Richard Marshall, cabinet member for leisure, said: “This is the first time a hoe-down has been held at Haden Hill Park so it would be great if lots of people turned up to enjoy some ‘Black’ country and western music.”
