Coronation Street and Red Dwarf star Craig Charles got the crowd stomping at a Staffordshire gig, but he wasn’t the only soap star getting his groove on.
The BBC Radio 6 DJ brought his Funk and Soul Club night to the Station music venue, in Cannock.
And EastEnders actor and former Strictly Dancing Star Jake Wood put his dancing shoes back on to enjoy a night of classic tunes.
Ex-boxer and now Sky Sports pundit Spencer Oliver was also at the event.
Phil Beaman, co-owner of the Station, said: “It was a really successful night, we had a really good turn out. We had visits from a couple of famous faces as well which was a nice surprise.
“We had one of the boxing presenters from Sky Sports and we also had Jake Wood from Eastenders. With Craig having been in Coronation Street, we had Corrie and EastEnders!
“Jake was very popular so we let him use the second snug area and had another doorman with him. I’m not sure why he came, I think it was just off the back of knowing someone else. He seemed to enjoy himself though and people enjoyed meeting him. It was all very random.
“Craig’s set went down really well, he gave us a good amount of time.
“ He mainly plays funk and soul, but he gave us a bit of everything.
Charles’ TV roles include Dave Lister in science fiction sitcom Red Dwarf and Lloyd Mullaney in Coronation Street.
He also presented the game show Robot Wars and narrated the comedy endurance show Takeshi’s Castle.
He performs DJ sets at clubs and festivals, nationally and internationally.
