Yes, it’s that time of the year already.
Children everywhere are starting to put together their Christmas wish lists for Santa and dropping not-so-subtle hints to parents.
Smyths Toys superstores has put together a list of the top 10 must-have toys this year. They believe youngsters everywhere will be desperate to find these treats under the tree on Christmas morning. From Cabbage Patch Dolls to Buzz Lightyear, Tamagotchis to Furbys, every Christmas has that one toy parents will be clamouring to get their hands on before the shelves are cleared.
This year, Disney mega-hit Frozen grabs top sport, with a doll and sleigh set costing £49.99 – set to be Smyths’ top seller.
The list comes as there are less than 90 sleeps until children can put their stockings out. The top 10 list includes robot dinosaurs to Lego, Ninja-turtles and loom bands – it has something for everyone.
Spokesman for the toy giant, Rob Guckian, said: “We have chosen a brilliantly diverse range of products from the tech-focused Boomer and Crazy Cart, to more traditional toys like Lego.”
He said the multi-coloured Loom bands were still going to be popular as kids enjoyed the simple act of making and sharing something.
Although they could not reveal specific sales figures, last year’s most popular toys at the store were Doc McStuffins, Despicable Me-themed toys and robotic dogs Teksta and Zoomer.
