This year's spellbinding Wolverhampton pantomime kicked off in style when performers hit the back of the net in a penalty shoot out.

Molineux was the location for the launch of Sleeping Beauty - which hits the city in just one month's time.
One of the show's stars Lucy Evans hosted the shoot-out on the Molineux turf, joining Grand Theatre staff who dressed up as kings, queens, fairies and damsels for the panto-themed event.
Fellow cast member Ceri Dupree then gave a show-stopping cabaret performance to a delighted crowd in the stadium's WV1 Bar.
Sleeping Beauty also stars comedian Joe Pasquale as court jester Muddles and runs at the Lichfield Street theatre from December 7 to January 18.
The show marks Pasquale’s first appearance in pantomime in Wolverhampton since 1996, where he starred alongside Michaela Strachan and Leslie Grantham in Peter Pan.
Variety star Dupree will play Queen Passionella in the show and his performance will include 17 costume changes.
Stage and screen star Lucy Evans – best known for playing Lauren Wilson in Coronation Street – plays Princess Beauty.
