Gangsta Granny has arrived in Shropshire – and is looking to make mischief.
A stage production of the David Walliams book has hit the stage in Shrewsbury before the production transfers to London’s West End.
Cast and crew arrived in the town earlier this week for the five-day run, which started at Theatre Severn last night. The story, which was first published in 2011, tells the tale of Ben, who thinks he is in for a boring Friday night staying in with Granny but instead embarks on an adventure. The stage production comes from the stable of the producers of Horrible Histories.
Craig Reeves, marketing manager for Theatre Severn, said: “There are 10 performances although there were originally only going to be eight but we have been able to increase the run. There is still some limited ticket availability.”
