Grease was the word when a drive-in movie transformed a Shropshire car park into a scene from 1950s America.
All 200 tickets sold out in Grease lightning speed for the retro event at Telford International Centre last night.
Pink Ladies and T Birds rocked up to see the original high school musical romance starring Olivia Newton John and John Travolta on the big screen.
The weather might have been more Raining on Prom Night than Summer Nights but, warm and dry in their cars, families and friends sang along to the iconic soundtrack.
And in true drive-in style, film fans dined on popcorn, hot dogs, pizza and chicken wings delivered to their cars by International Centre staff.
As dusk fell, heads bobbed and cars rocked along to the music as revellers joined in with the musical story of bad boy Danny falling for girl next door Sandy.
Telford & Wrekin Council’s first drive-in movie experience was sponsored by Cineworld, who provided free popcorn – while some brought their own picnics and flasks.
The last tickets for tonight’s screening of Top Gun are still available. Tickets are £20 per car, plus a £2 admininstration fee.
