The Purslow sports, show and gymkhana has been hailed as a roaring success.
The Purslow sports, show and gymkhana held in a south Shropshire hamlet had a record number of entries in many categories.
Chairman John Huffer said: “It’s been the best show ever.”
And secretary Annie Sutton agreed, praising the dry summer weather: “It was absolutely fantastic.
“The weather was wonderful, the car park was full, everything went really well.
“We had no hiccups and no disasters.
“It was a really good turnout with lots of entries.
“I don’t think we have ever had as many entries into the dog show.
“Luella Fisher stood in at the last minute, as our judge is in hospital, and she was superb.
“Entries into the ponies section were up and in the marquee we had masses of entries for that and despite the spring and summer being a bit funny, most of the entries were brilliant quality .
“The handicrafts were great too,” she added.
“The committee had a brief chat last night and said it was wonderful.
“We came away feeling all the hard work had been worth it.”
