Gallery: Bridgnorth Beer Festival

Visitors packed in to the Severn Valley Railway as it played host to both a major beer festival and a famous diesel locomotive.

UK Railtours’ The Silver King visited the railway on Saturday – coinciding with the Bridgnorth Beer Festival, which took place in the station’s Railwayman’s Arms over the weekend.

The 3,000 horse power Silver King had come up from London Marylebone on the Chiltern Line to Kidderminster, where it crossed on to the Severn Valley Railway and continued through Bewdley, Arley, Highley and Hampton Loade to the end of the line at Bridgnorth.

There, passengers could enjoy the return trip to Kidderminster.
