A Winter Wonderland has been launched at Wolverhampton’s West Park featuring stalls, snow machines and a Santa’s grotto.
The event is the first of its kind in the city and, after kicking off last night, is expected to attract up to 2,000 visitors each day until December 27.
A marquee with a walk-through Frozen experience, and a big wheel are among the many attractions.
Organiser, Wolverhampton councillor Malcolm Gwinnett, said: “This is going to be an absolutely fabulous event for the people of Wolverhampton.
“Things are looking absolutely brilliant, we just want to get on with it now.”
It will run from 5pm to 9pm today and Friday.
It will then run from noon until 9pm on Saturday and Sunday, through to next Wednesday, and will be shut Christmas Eve and Day.
On Boxing Day and Sunday December 27 it will open from noon to 9pm.
Entry is £2 adults and £5 children. A family ticket is £12.
