Young people star in art exhibition at Wolverhampton Art Gallery

Young people are the inspiration, the creators and the curators of a new art exhibition taking place this month.

The ‘R.I.C.H. Race, Identity, Culture, Heritage’ exhibition is being held at Wolverhampton Art Gallery, Lichfield Street, until August 28.

Organised by members of ArtForum Gold club, Wolverhampton Art Gallery’s youth group for young people aged 14-25, the display will feature a collection of their work.

Their art has been created as the group have explored the work produced by the Blk Art Group, which was established in the West Midlands in the 1980s.

The group were all from the British African-Caribbean community and was noted for its bold political stance.
