You don’t usually see lions, elephants and penguins in the Shropshire hills, but for one month visitors to Craven Arms will get the chance – in pictures, of course.
The work of international wildlife photographer Mark Sisson is now on display at Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre.
The award-winning snapper lives in Newport, from where he runs wildlife photography holiday and workshop business Nature’s Images, and his work has been published in everything from BBC Wildlife, Natures Home and Wild Planet Photo Magazine, to The Shropshire Magazine closer to home.
He also creates stock pictures for the RSPB and FLPA, and has published a number of books including, most recently, A Most Rare Vision: Shropshire From The Air.
He launched the exhibition, which will run until May 31, at an opening night on Tuesday, complete with a talk, wine tasting from Clun Country Wines and canapes from the Discovery Centre’s own cafe.
A similar evening will take place on May 19 with another acclaimed local wildlife photographer, Andrew Fusek Peters.
